OVERALL:  The genius of this album is that you can let your mind shift from paying attention to the beats and paying attention to the lyrics at any given time.  It's been a long time since Percee's released some music for the masses, and it almost seems fitting that he would release his 2nd major label album with jazz enthusiast Madlib.  The two are a perfect match.  Percee has the type of flow that you could get lost in and listen to in a variaty of different ways.  Whether you choose to just listen to his cadence, like you would a great jazz be-bopping vocalist, or follow him word for word (a task not easy to do), Percee is guaranteed to leave you in awe.

Biggest Negative:  Percee P is just as much, if not more of an old school underground legend than Bun B and Pimp C, and alhough he keeps his bragadocious lyrical content up-to-date, it does falter a bit at the half-way mark with "Ghetto Rhyme Stories".  An uninteresting tale told in 3 segments that just sounds forced on both Percee's part and Madlib's as well.  It's the only song I dare skip over, with no replay value at all.

Biggest Positive:  1. Madlib didn't hold back on this one and, whether you heard Percee's unmixed version of this album or not, it's obvious that this firespitting word-piecing genius (that's right I used the word genius) not only goes 100%, but can lyricly battle just about any MC in the game and come up victorious.

2.  The brilliance of this album is that it clocks in at under 42 minutes, so there is no reason why you shouldn't play it at least twice each time you pop it in your cd player.  Once to just zone out on with Madlib's excellent production combined with Percee's cadence, and once to just focus on the lyrical prowess of Percee P.
